Swell

I get lost in the swell

Wind gusts dancing in tree tops

Slow, pause, then a crescendo

The wind swelling through the leaves

Dancing to the beat of earth

Close your eyes; hear the swell

It sounds of crashing waves

The ocean pulls its vanquished back

Stacking them into a new wave

Rebuilding what has crashed

The swell moving together as one

The power of the past colliding as the present

Close your ears and fell the swell

The sensation of butterflies dancing

Filling your soul with dancing lights

The heart speeding up while falling from its perch

The swell as emotions flood your veins

A kiss and I am lost in the swell again.
